    Just started to use this product for a Vacation Rental Business.
    It seems to work very well and is a well thought out easily customisable booking solution. Would like to see a few more options for the property search page, in particular an option for the customer to be able to search by property category. Otherwise this is a great product.

    I bought MotoPress Plugin for a client’s holiday retreat which features several types of accommodation and it’s v easy to use and the support is great. One thing which would be good is a more flexible layout for laying out each accommodation page but apart from that v good!

    I became a member a few days ago. I needed to enter accomodation types in bulk, which is not a feature of MotoPress Hotel Booking plugin.

    I contacted support and their response came a few hours later. We had a few back and forth discussions over email and , the next day, Support came with a creative work around.

    Their response time, the quality of support, and their attitude are awesome.

    One of better booking plugins for WP. I would personally prefer better multilingual possibilities especially with polylang and some more flexibility with the booking confirmation and accommodation units pages. However works flawless and in case support is needed motopress team is fast to reply and provide support.

    The plugin is easy to use and the tutorial is clear. However we are disappointed about the use of coupons : there is no way to add a specific amount, only % are available. We were expecting to sell vouchers of XX EUR but now we have to change our commercial policy… And obviously that is not what you want when buying a WP plugin.

    We bought AlpenHouse theme with built-in Hotel booking plugin. We use it for our villa and it is great. The setup was easy, good documentation, and the support was quick and helpful. The whole process of building website for our villa took a couple of days and we were ready to accept even payments! So now we’re enjoying selling reservations without commissions from booking platforms and we also are flexible here – we can sell special packages, discount coupons and additional services.

    We had a variety of different rates, seasonal and weekend, weekday with discounting on longer periods. Tried several different solutions but many left a lot to be desired.     Great plugin, everything we needed from it. Support is great (whether forums or email) for a few questions we needed answers to. And for a small bespoke extra we used their contact on Fiverr who completed it flawlessly on time and within budget.

  • Disappointed

    The plugin looked great. Building a multi-property, vacation rental site for a client. They don’t want to take direct bookings through the site. Their key requirement was to be able to add bookings and manage them manually in the back end – admin area. The information on Motopress site before buying indicated this was possible – but it’s not.
    So after installing and a couple of day’s work – I’ve wasted time and money and I’m now investigating alternative options.
    It’s a shame as it looked so good.

  • Plugin not working as shown and no refunding the day after purchase

    What else? the title says all.

    After the purchase and after having tried their demo site, I realized the plugin was not showing up content as nice and beautifull as in the demo site, also classes and Html DOM was different, so no easy way to try to personalize the plugin as showed in the demo, believe me I found out the product page all confused and messed up.

    Plus I noticed the avaiblity calendar was buggy (kept moving forward and backward along with the mouse scroll) and what I tought is that I would have to spend much more time than expected to create my web site with this plugin.

    No way to be refunded… that’s not the right way to work, and shows the kind of persons behind this company. If a customer the day after purchase is not happy with your product definitly deserve a refund.

    Ps. As main theme I use Avada, one of the most know and stable theme on the market on my believe.

    The plugin does what it says and works well.
    It was a bit difficult to set up the multi languages with WPML, but the support team were helpful and very patient with me. Thank you!
    I only have one property and would like to test it when building a multi property site for a friend. However, they would need quicker calendar syncs than 1 hour, from experience. Also downloading bookings and importing data would be a big bonus.

  • Great alternative for companies that cant afford channel manager PMS systems

    I had to look for a solution for my client who has a small surf house rental company. It seems there are a lot of choices on the market, but the more I investigated it, the more you realize there aren’t a lot of out of the box solutions that can offer it all. Especially if the budget is limited. Yes channel manager PMS is real time, but they have more disadvantages then being quite expensive for once. We have chosen the Hotel plugin, because they are the only one on the market today, and I researched this a lot, that can sync different booking systems together and on top of that can handle an affiliate program (if you add the woocommerce payment plugin). They dont advertise with this, so I am telling you here: This is a very valuable feature, this can create so much more business for your company. Yes, all programs need adjustments, the hotel plugin is no exception, because every client has custom wishes. But I can honestly say and I worked as a web designer for 6 years, the service provided by Stacy and John have been the best support I ever had, I love working with them. And I set the bar high, because I know support services can be subpar with this sometimes. At Motopress they are knowledgeable, they react fast, they think with you, they consider tips and new features and they really solve problems. And they have proven that you can do without a real time channel manager and have a professional multifunctional booking solution for WordPress users. This Review is earned and well deserved, I can honestly tell you.

        Hotel Booking plugin support import/export in iCalendar format only. As far as I know Trip Advisor and Airbnb supports this type of synchronization. Channel Manager is not supported by our plugin yet.

          1. Access OTAS as Trip Advisor,,, etc. and synchronize reservations from that add-on and from that one place.

            Our plugin allows to import bookings only. The prices and other information can not be synced. Also when bookings is cancelled at 1 of the systems you should go to each other system and cancel bookings there too.
            As for ICS format so it is supported.

      How can I add an horitzontal bar ‘Search Availability Form ‘on my home page? By default the shortcode print a block form, I would get the same look as your themes, looking the code I found a class that change that format (widget_mphb_search_availability_widget), but it not works on my site.

      I’m working with Elementor + the extension.

      I would like to ask you the following questions:
      1 – The hotel channel manager (iCal) has the function of being able to edit a reservation from, Trip Advisor, etc. and then that reservation is reflected in the Trip Advisor platform, etc?
      Example: enter a reservation to my hotel through my website, and I go to the channel manager, enter the reservation in the Trip Advisor calendar and then it is automatically reflected in the Trip Advisor platform. That’s possible?

        Thank you for the questions.
        1. Bookings can be edited only on the platform where they were placed.
        2. Ical is not safe enough to send customer or payment info, so OTAs share limited to no info. All the info that our plugin receives is stored in the Logs section of each booking. Our plugin sends only guest name, booking id, property title and dates to external platforms.
        3. Our plugin can be used by multiple users. They will see each other’s properties, bookings and payments. There are no separate accounts for different owners.
        4. The license is yearly. The annual renewal is due in a year after your purchase and costs 50% off the price ($89.5). If you skip a renewal, you will stop getting updated versions and technical assistance after the license expiration.

      Accommodation Type Category: %room_type_categories% in email does not work. It always show “Array”. The same error whey I call categories in template.

    5. I want to know the process of cancellation booking that is provided by this plugin.

      After canceling booking user can get him booked money return to this account using it’s payment method?

      Does admin take extra charge for that cancel booking using that credit or debit card that booking user is used?

      Can Client make half payment of that property?

    6. In plugin, cancel booking means that means booking user can get the money of booking re back using it’s payment method. Are there extra charge to booking user for that cancellation booking?

        You may allow guests to cancel the reservation. It means that customer is able to cancel the reservation – to make the property available. But this option does not let to get a refund (money back) automatically if you have set up online payments to confirm reservations. Actually the refund can be provided via payment gateway(s) you enabled on your site.

      I’m using motor press hotel booking plugin with the hoteller theme.
      I have almost translated everything with polylang and just something with poedit. The problem is about the “booking confirmation” page(checkout page). From the plugin settings i can set just one page. In this case, the default language one.
      When I book an accomodation from the italian version, he just switch to the english checkout page. I have already created a traslation for that page with the same shortcode. Could u please help me?

        Unfortunately Hotel Booking plugin has not been tested with Polylang yet. You may try contacting Polylang for a solution as type of page configuration is quite common in WordPress so translation plugin should dynamically direct you to proper page translation. Actually Hotel Booking plugin has been tested with WPML plugins only and we recommend it for translation the content. WPML developers confirmed its 100% compatibility.

      I use your advanced search with attributes for to show the relative rooms for the exact number of people.
      I have create 2 attributes with ADULTS & CHILDREN
      But i have some rooms with children also.
      so if i ask for 2 (adults) i see also the rooms with the children.
      Lets say The DOUBLE ROOM but also the QUAD ROOM with 2+2 children.
      Exist a way to ask in search with attributes to show the rooms with both parameter check?
      Now i use
      [mphb_availability_search attributes=”people,children-room”]
      Is there any way to check for both attributes for to show the specifique rooms and hide the room with 2,2 when is only 2 adults?

      I am using the free plugin and got some major issues. Either I don’t know how to use them, or the functions are limited because the plugin is free. Hope to have this resolved so I consider paying for the premium version.
      1. the calendar is buggy; cannot even select the dates.

Hi, im currently using hotel booking lite, i tried paying via my paypal sandbox account, it says payment was successful, then when i return to my merchant site, under payment history it still says pending payment and no transaction id? Is there some configuration I didn’t turn on in settings, or something to do with paypal?

      I had turn on auto return and pdt in paypal setting,

      I also turn on sandbox mode, and fill in the correct paypal email in paypal gateway setting?

      there are 3 choise to book or payment method. is that setting applied to all property or can we choose what payment or booking method each property?

      because, sometimes, i have property rental that i haven’t been applied to OTA yet. so for that case i have to confirm to property owner first for availability and price also.

        You can choose one of those methods to confirm reservation of all accommodation types/properties. However if you have some property where you do not want to let online booking you may not simply add rate or hide reservation form for such property. Thus it becomes unavailable so you can place third party contact form to get booking requests for this property.

There is option to import bookings in iCalandar (iCal/ICS) format from other platforms that support this too e.g. airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, etc. Also there is option to get generated ical links and import booking to other platforms. The synchronization is either automatic in predefined period of time or manual (on demand).

        Thank you for your question. We do not provide option to add variable pricing based on children age. It is rather custom solution and we recommend to charge for various children groups on arrival or providing a coupon code describing the pricing in the description of accommodation. Thanks.

        Yes, Hotel Booking plugin can be enabled for whole network. You will need Unlimited license in to be able to use plugin at more than one site of your network.
        However accommodation types are not linked with each other though the subsites of the network and there is no single availability search within the subsites.

    20. Presale Question – how often does the iCal sync with the other OTAs and could you please advise if the booking details made on OTAs get imported into the booking engine on WP or do we need to manage each OTA booking on their portals?

        Thanks for your question. You may setup such intervals – Once Hourly, Once Daily or Twice Daily. While importing bookings our plugin delivers just check in and out dates, unique booking ID, property name and guest name. However it is recommended to manage each booking on proper OTA as initial purpose of iCal synchronization is just to avoid overbooking.

        It is possible to hide children parameter and rename Adults into Guests that will mean both either adults and children. Thus you will use Guests (re-named Adults) as total capacity. will that work for you?

        – There is used Hotel Booking WooCommerce Payments addon on Villagio demo site. It is not included in theme by default. This addon integrates payment gateways from WooCommerce. We’re also working on this question currently – to move the entered information to Checkout page of WooCommerce not to enter it twice. So it would be available in the next version of plugin.
        – There is option to add coupon codes of percentage type. Do you mean this?
        – Could you please clarify what you men under ‘instant booking’? Do you mean adding booking from the back-end?

Still, he would like to display availabilities with a calendar and allow users to pay a deposit for the tours. I have already tried several plugin but none of them seem to be fully functionnal.

      So, if I buy this plugin of yours, will I be able to display ONLY the calendar (and eventually booking form) on a page separate from the “room” page ? The room page can exist besides the tour page.

        There is no way to display the booking calendars separately not on the accommodation pages. However, these calendars are available in the booking form (added with [mphb_availability id=”your-accommodation-id”] ), when the customers click on the check-in and check-out dates. These forms can be added to any page and the unavailable dates are crossed-out there.
        We would still advise to test this functionality in one of our demos to make sure that it fits your needs, since the plugin was designed for property rental.

    27. I have another question. If I run 2 different sites with this plugin and I add respective iCal urls to these sites. Do they automatically synchronize if automatic synchronization is on?

            Yes, it is possible to block certain rooms for certain period and you can do this by going to Dashboard>Bookings>Booking Rules.
            Unfortunately it is not possible to order services after the accommodation is booked. We’ll keep this feature in mind for further plugin development. As a workaround you can try to sell services on your site using third party plugin for selling like WooCommerce, etc.

    28. It seems that when I block date on airbnb/booking then sync in motopress it import and blocks that date. But if I then open in OTAs and sync again in motopress stays blocked. If I then put cancel for that booking in motopress and blok again that same date in OTAs it wont block again (Skipped. Event with such UID already exists in booking) even if I put it in trash. it blocks again only if I delete it from trash.
      I hope I tested OK and I am not sure am I doing something wrong but this could be a problem if there is canceled booking and then booking again for the same date. Can you check this please?
      Also, it would be great that you could block dates directly in booking calendar section rather than in booking rules section. I know it is complicated but it is only a suggestion.

You can try using Hotel Booking plugin with current theme you have in order to check how it will look like. As for the user so you will be able to create a new user role and set up its permissions using third party plugin (our support team will assist you with this).

            We sync with external booking platform through the ical system. This system only synchronizes the availability of properties. It does not transfer any rates or payment data. So there won’t be a problem if the prices on booking com differ from the ones on your website.

      1. 1. It is possible just to use Categories as different Hotels to filter the accommodation types. But category is not available as search parameter yet so all accommodation types will be shown in search results page.
        2. There is no limit for accommodations to be synchronized.

        5. Accommodation type is a type of room like ‘Double Room’ and accommodations are real number of room of this type. Accommodations defines availability of accommodation type.

        Thank you for your question. The booking can be made by searching for available accommodation by filling parameters like amount of guests, check-in and check-out dates. Could you specify what you mean under Booking Calendar view and how it works for multiple accommodation types you named?
        As for administration so there is single booking calendar that shows all available bookings/reservations in a calendar view. Could you specify the tool you need to register missing/broken items pr room, etc. Can you provide some example of solution for this?
        I’d recommend to view live demo and register the type that meets your requirements.

        The first option you described is not available at the moment. However we have it in our to-do list and we’ll notify you here once it is available. Thank you for your suggestion.
        The second option with 30% discount is possible by creating special Season with dates from Monday to Thursday. Then go to edit the rate and add new season price applying your special season with different price (-30%). Don’t forget to drag it above your main season price and save the changes. Thus special season price 2ith 30% discount will be applied on days from Monday to Thursday and your basic rate will be applied on other days.

        You can create an unlimited number of accommodation types and sync them with VRBO and other booking platforms that use iCal. Note that this plugin may not fit your needs if you want to let multiple rental owners manage their own accommodations, bookings and payments, because the payment and booking systems of the plugin are shared.

        Thank you for the question. WordPress plugins do not process payments, we only offer payment gateways that can process payments online safely. Our plugin has the following in-built payment gateways: PayPal, 2Checkout, Braintree, Stripe, Beanstream/Bambora. You enable them in the plugin settings (Accommodation > Settings > Payment Gateways) and fill in your seller account details there. These payment gateways appear on the checkout page and when a customer chooses one of them, they are redirected to a safe payment page of the chosen gateway. Upon payment the customer returns to your website and the money go to your seller account on PayPal, 2Checkout, Braintree, Stripe or Beanstream/Bambora.
        Some of these payment gateways allow buyers pay with a credit card without registering an account on the platform. You can connect more payment gateways with this addon.

    38. Hi, couple of presales questions for our setup which are a number whole houses.

      1) when guests book, is there an option to display our terms & conditions and for the guest click a box that they are agreeing to the terms and conditions as part of the booking and that box gets c arrived forward into an [email protected] or saved as pert of the booking.

      2) we have a service that provides linen per bed per stay, is there an option to select a service or fee which is based on number of beds

      3) our prices are based on a maximum number of guests although we do allow some additional guests on top of that for a fee per guest per day. Can we set up a service or fee , eg ‘additional guests’ that is a fee per guest per day but only up to a maximum of say 3 guests, ie a person can only select 1,2 or 3 for this service or fee.

        Thank you for the questions.
        1) There is a customizable Terms and Conditions text that is displayed on the checkout page. So by placing an order guests agree to them, but there is no checkbox for it. You can add the info about agreement to the system email templates that are sent automatically when a booking is placed (Accommodation > Settings > Customer Emails).
        2) It is possible to set up a fee per accommodation per day. Each accommodation type can have its own fee, so knowing how many beds there are, you can set the needed price.
        3) You can set up the service Extra Person/Extra Bed per accommodation per day. Then tie to the accommodation as many of them as a specific accommodation type can handle. The customers can check the needed number of people on the checkout and the price will be counted accordingly.

      2. We are happy to announce that the MotoPress Hotel Booking plugin now meets the GDPR requirements. With the latest update (2.7.0), you can add the GDPR checkbox on the checkout page.
        Make sure, that the plugin is updated. Then create your Terms and Conditions page and define it in Accommodation > Settings (Terms and Conditions). The checkbox will appear on the checkout page automatically.

            The feature was introduced in the latest version. We updated the demo to the latest version. Now you can find the autosync options under Accommodation > Settings (scroll down).
            The documentation has not been updated yet. Thank you for pointing it out – we will fix it.

          You can enable all the payment gateways that you need, as well as Test Payment. The plugin settings let you rename Test Payment to Bank Transfer. So when someone places a booking and chooses Bank Transfer, their booking will appear in the back end and they will be sent an automatic email, which you can use for providing bank transfer details.
          We are also working on integrating the booking plugin with WooCommerce, so you will have access to more payment gateways.

        Thank you for reaching us out. We will review your request about adding Culqi payment gateway. Unfortunately we can not guarantee its release in the fastest terms as there are other features under
        development. However we’ll notify you here once we get any news on this.
        At the moment you can use other payment gateways or define such confirmation mode like – confirmation by admin. Using this mode your guest will get email with payment details to confirm the reservation. You will track all transactions and change status of bookings manually.

        Thank you for your question. We have already added request to optimize ‘Children’ parameter and collect feedbacks at the moment. This is rather controversial question as there are numerous rules in different accommodation establishments – some do not divide guests for adults/persons at all, some define children till 7 years, others till 17. That’s why we appreciate your feedback you provided.
        As there is no ready solution yet you can try hiding Children parameter by means of CSS and edit translation of Adults to Guests/Persons/etc. You can use Poedit or Loco Translate plugin to edit translation easily.

      I would like to know if your i could sell gift voucher for my rooms with your plugin ?
      They would not be linked to a date, as the person receiving the voucher would then contact us to make the booking (or maybe use a unique code to make the reservation free for them).
      If you don’t have that option, I think i could use a different plugin altogether to sell these Voucher, but it would be harder for me to do (in that case, would you have anything in mind you could recommand ?)

      1. Hi Henri! So far, we don’t have any specific ‘gift voucher’ feature, but we have coupon codes! It means you can provide a hand-crafted discount on any room with any discount percent (even 100%), so it should work! It won’t be linked to a date if you set it so in the settings.

        Thanks for your question. Hotel booking plugin is compatible with all WordPress themes and uses its design. That is it was not styled to fit certain themes – it uses styles of your theme so it will look natural at your site.

      1. Hi Vernon! Thanks for your interest in our plugin. What gateway exactly are you referring to? Over time, we’ll be adding new payment gateways, but not sure which ones yet (as different people ask for different gateways, so more likely we’ll choose the most popular ones). At the moment, to add any extra payment gateway that is not listed on this page, you’ll need developer’s help as the process will require programming knowledge to modify the code.

        Thank you for your questions. You can set price for Rooms (accommodation types) currently and not for quantity of persons. You can just set capacity of room (accommodation types) quantity of adults and children and set rate for it. We’ll keep your request in mind.
        You can also test plugin functionality registering a demo.

For example: a hotel room should reflect a regular price for 7 days or more (cheaper price), another regular price for 6 days or less (more expensive price).             As far as I understand you got our plugin integrated into third party theme. Then you should try to contact your theme provider and ask them to update plugin at your theme. You see your theme provider is responsible for plugin update.
