Thank you for your interest in Hotel Booking plugin. Yes, sure you may create your custom addons to extend the functionality of the Hotel Booking plugin. You may share your custom add-on plugin with other users of the Hotel Booking plugin for free or sell it as premium addon.
It is not allowed to modify the core files of the Hotel Booking plugin and share it with others as if it is your plugin.
I use the hotel booking plugin since some years now, without updating since some time. In my version, the ical synchronization did not export names, prices or other information to my channel manager (smoobu) which has to be done always manually. Did you update this functionality in the meantime? I might buy the update of so.
Thank you for your question. The main purpose of iCal synchronization is to avoid overbooking. That is why the most important information is Check-in and Check-out dates. You will also need to identify the booking somehow so some platforms add the name of the Guest or the ID of the booking. However, this type of synchronization does not deliver the proper price of the booking, all the details of the guest, capacity, or added services. There is no another way to import and export bookings at the moment.
Hello, AirBNB has a feature that allows users to see a general area of your place on Google Maps and then when the person books they get to see the exact address. Is this a feature that your program has?
Also is there an option to turn off Instant Book feature for the guests? I’m able to do this on AirBNB and I like it because it allows me to screen the guests before allowing them book my place.
Finally is there a Plug In to link with different pricing software such as Pricelabs, Wheelhouse,etc?

– There is no integration with Google Maps in our Hotel Booking plugin. You may add a Google map using any third-party plugin and it is up to you what location to show on the map. I’m sure the person who builds a website for you can figure this out.
– There is available confirmation mode by the admin when the admin reviews each new reservation and either confirms it or declines it. You may change confirmation modes at Accommodation > Settings.
– There is no integration with pricelabs or other third-party services that allow syncing the prices in the Hotel Booking plugin.
Are there plans in the future to make a widget or something that will let us integrate pricing software? I use Dynamic Pricing for my property so that’s an important thing for me, can you guys recommend a widget or third party integration I can perhaps add on after the fact?
Also if I sync my website to the OTA’s will my website calendar prices reflect my AirBNB prices?

At the moment, there is no possibility to sync the rate/prices of the Hotel Booking plugin with third-party platforms and vice versa. The Hotel Booking plugin supports the iCal type of synchronization and this format allows the platform to import bookings and closed dates only. No other information can be synced.

Nevertheless, when I import a calendar from Airbnb or booking.com will the calendar show guest information such as name etc or it will just only show the dates and block the guest booking date on my calendar on my website?

The MotoPress Hotel Booking plugin can share availability with any platform that supports the ical system. The main purpose of the ical synchronization is to sync calendars and prevent booking on the same dates on different channels. Thus the most important information is check-in and -out dates. As a rule, every event includes short information, so you may be able to recognize bookings. Moreover, it is your external channel that decides what information to include in the ical file so you may download their ical file and open it with the file editor to check what information they added to that file.

we’re using the plugin for a holiday house rental. One question we have open – is it possible to show in calendar, that the user sees when picking rental dates, when the accomondation isn’t available?
Issue we currently have is that the user recieves a message that the accommodation isn’t available on picked dates. But the user cannot see on which dates it is available.

Other customers have also expressed their interest in this feature, so we continue collecting feedback. I guess that should be it.
For example, we’re renting the whole house. It is rented for 3 weeks in April. But when new potential customers try to book it, they do not see in the calendar widget when selecting their visit dates that those 3 weeks in April are not available.
This really isn’t user-friendly, as they have no other option than to guess when the property might be available.

I believe it’s not something to fix but how things work. There are two search availability forms in the plugin.
The first one is the common Availability Search Form to check availability across ALL accommodation types. This form works the same way as the booking form at booking.com or airbnb.com. It doesn’t show the availability in the date picker.
The second one is the Accommodation Booking Form. If the direct booking option is enabled in the plugin settings, this form shows accommodation availability in the date picker.
There is also the Availability Calendar to show the individual availability calendar of a particular accommodation type. It shows both the availability status of each date and the number of free accommodations.
So if you have a hotel with several accommodation types and want to give your guests an option to check availability across all these types and book multiple accommodations, then use the Common search form.
If you have a single accommodation, then enable the direct booking option to display the availability and search results of a single accommodation.

It depends on the form that you use. If you use a common search form so it can not display the booked (unavailable dates) but if you add an availability form of a specific property then you may enable the Skip Search Results option to display the unavailable dates and make them not-selectable.

Hotel Booking 4.0.0 or greater adds two custom user roles (Hotel Manager and Hotel Worker). The Administrator and Hotel Manager user roles have the most extensive access to the Hotel Booking plugin settings. However, you can also change default capabilities of these user roles, e.g. allow a Hotel Worker to add accommodation types, as well as create new user roles with custom capabilities. You’ll find more information in this post.

You’re asking a great question. We can definitely see how this feature could be beneficial, but unfortunately, it’s not something that we can offer right now. In the meantime, we recommend disabling a ‘User can cancel booking via provided email’ function. Then you’ll have to inform your guests that they can cancel their booking only by contacting you personally. Use the Terms & Conditions page for this purpose.
