Could you specify what theme you use and what plugins are installed and activated at your WordPress. Also make sure you use latest version of content Editor – 2.2.0. What is WordPress version installed at your website?

You can try to customize style of theme via Appearance>Customize>Additional CSS. For example to change background color at post page you need to add style below:
