What do you need to do before switching to full site editing?

If it’s a fresh installation, you don’t really need to do anything special, the block theme like Prime FSE will work with the latest versions of WordPress out of the box. For existing websites, it’s recommended to 1) back up a website (we have no doubts that you do that regularly), 2) test if your plugins work with FSE (you can use Twenty Twenty-Two or Twenty Twenty-Three block-based themes for this).
