Make phone number not required in checkout

Hi guys,

I have a small request to make a phone number not required field.

Could you please share a snippet of code that I can put into my functions.php or some instructions to disable the required status?

I hope I would not have to buy a plugin for this one simple feature.

Thanks for your question. It is possible to edit the fields of the checkout form using a special extension https://motopress.com/products/hotel-booking-checkout-fields/ Using the add-on you may disable or edit default fields, and add new ones.
