I’m trying to design my front page using the MotoPress Slider.

I don’t want just a colored box with letters in it. That’s all I seem to be able to do.

I really like “sub header dark” because it creates a dark but opaque box but it’s worthless because the font is too small and I cannot make changes to the font size, type or color. It’s too small to read well.

I’d create my own using the EDIT Style area but once again the option is a colored box with letters in it.

Here’s what I’d like to do:
Create a nice opaque box, either dark or perhaps blue and be able to have full control over the font type, font size, font color and size of the box as well as paragraph spacing.

    Hi Jack,

In order to edit existing style please go to Visual Style Editor, select a style you want to edit and click duplicate, name it in your own way and edit padding, font size, etc. Please refer to screenshot http://prntscr.com/cepqw4

    Best regards,
    John
