WordPress Booking System for Vacation Rentals

Rent out a tiny rustic home, condominium, or unlimited properties of any type. Enable your guests to book an entire home or separate apartments. This vacation rental WordPress theme is packaged with a premium WordPress booking plugin by MotoPress (included for free!).

Feature all details about a property and its apartments: amenities, photos, descriptions, size, view, bed types, sleep, availability, extra services, etc. Enable a real-time search availability form and a WordPress booking calendar for properties.

Sync Bookings with Airbnb and Other OTAs

Rent out directly and through agencies – avoid overbooking without extra commissions and channel managers! Synchronize all bookings submitted on your vacation rental WordPress website with those from OTAs like Airbnb with the built-in reservation plugin.

The system supports automatic WordPress iCal sync enabling you to exchange booking calendars with the popular rental property agencies where your accommodation is listed (make sure the former supports iCal).

Prepaid Online Bookings or Charge upon Arrival

Process online payments via built-in payment gateways and increase your international travelers’ audience: PayPal, 2Checkout, Stripe, Braintree, Beanstream/Bambora, etc. The system sends money straight to your chosen accounts!

If you need to use more local gateways, add them with our custom WooCommerce Payments addon.

Guests can pay online a full / deposit price or can be charged only after arrival. Optionally disable a booking functionality and simply feature your rentals.

Flexible Booking Rules

The PMS allows you to set min/max days to stay and available check-in and check-out dates for all rentals at once, accommodations individually or seasons.

You may also make certain accommodations unavailable for a chosen period of time (set not check-in, not check-out or not stay-in rules). Optionally set different rates by setting price variables based on the number of guests.

Booking Confirmation Modes

Confirm property bookings automatically or manually, with or without a payment:

  • by guest via email (confirmation link)
  • by admin manually (confirmation link)
  • by payment (full or deposit).

Not confirmed bookings during a set period of time become abandoned making them available for further reservation.

Seasonal Pricing and Rates

The high-season weeks demand higher prices. Set different prices for low and high seasons, weekends, or whatever period you want.

Based on a number of advantages offered for a specific accommodation, you can set different prices for the same accommodation type – rates (e.g. non-refundable double room rate, refundable double room rate, etc).

Weekly and Monthly Rates

You can set any unit/apartment price depending on the season (any term). To create different price points based on the length of stay within the season, you can add weekly, monthly or other customizable rates. Set any number of days and apply a needed per-night price for the set stay-in duration.

The system will automatically discount the properties according to your rate rules. A better per-night rate for a longer stay will help you stay competitive in the industry!

Free or Paid Extra Services

Offer bookable extra services or packages along with the accommodation.

Charge per accommodation or per person, one time or per night. Guests can add any preferable service to the cart when making a booking. You may easily feature all available services on the website with details.

Taxes and Fees

Collect and file mandatory fees, accommodation taxes, service taxes, and fee taxes. Always have complete and correct pricing information on all accommodation charges.

The guests will be able to see the detailed summary of charges before confirming a booking. All payment info of each booking is stored in the admin dashboard for easier accounting.

Discount Coupons

Manually create personalized discount coupons for loyal guests or for use in promo campaigns!

You’ll be able to set a discount amount, an expiration date, select applicable accommodation types, set check-in and check-out dates, min and max days to stay and apply other settings. For the automatic discounts based on the length of stay, you’ll need to configure property rates.

One-Click Demo Data Import

Import sample data to the WordPress theme in one click and get your vacation rental website just like on the demo!

The data importer is packed with the theme, so you’ll be able to replace sample data with your custom content without any hassle.

Is WordPress good for rental company?

Yes, WordPress is a great platform for rental companies to create their website and manage their online presence. With its user-friendly interface, customizable themes, and a large community of developers, WordPress makes it easy for rental companies to create an engaging and functional website that showcases their properties and services.

WordPress offers a wide variety of plugins and themes specifically designed for vacation rental and property management businesses. These plugins and themes provide features such as online booking, property listings, payment processing, and more. With the help of these tools, rental companies can streamline their business operations and provide a better customer experience for their guests.

Overall, WordPress is a versatile and scalable platform that can meet the needs of rental companies of all sizes. Whether you’re a small property owner or a large vacation rental management company, WordPress may help you create a professional and effective online presence.

How do I set up a WordPress rental site?

Setting up a WordPress rental site involves a few key steps:

  1. Choose a domain name and hosting provider: your domain name is the address where people can find your website. Hosting companies provide the servers where your website will be stored and accessed by visitors.
  2. Install WordPress: many hosting providers offer a simple, one-click installation process for WordPress. If your hosting provider doesn’t suggest this option, you may download the WordPress software from the official website and follow the installation instructions.
  3. Choose a rental theme and install relevant plugins: there are many rental themes available for WordPress, which can provide features such as online booking, property listings, payment processing, and more. Once you’ve chosen a theme, you can install relevant plugins to add the desired functionality to your site. For example, Mountainview described above is a well-designed vacation rental WordPress theme with a built-in booking system.
  4. Customize your site: customize your site by adding your logo, choosing your color scheme, and creating content for your pages.
  5. Add your rental properties: use your rental theme and plugins to create property listings and set up online booking and payment processing.
  6. Test and launch your site: test your site thoroughly to ensure that everything is working properly before launching it to the public.

Overall, setting up a WordPress rental site can be a straightforward process, especially with the help of available themes and plugins. However, it’s important to invest time and effort into creating a high-quality website that will attract and retain customers.

How do I manage multiple vacation rentals?

Managing multiple vacation rentals can be a complex task, but there are several strategies you may use to streamline the process:

  1. Use property management software: property management software can help you automate tasks such as guest communication, online booking, payment processing, and more. Look for software that integrates with your website and booking platforms and that provides features such as calendar syncing, automated check-in and check-out, and reporting. For example, the MotoPress Hotel Booking plugin is an all-in-one solution that provides all these features under one roof.
  2. Hire a property manager: if you have multiple properties and don’t have the time or resources to manage them all yourself, consider hiring a property manager. A property manager can handle tasks such as guest communication, housekeeping, maintenance, and more.
  3. Standardize your processes: establish standard processes for tasks such as cleaning, check-in and check-out, and guest communication to ensure consistency across your properties and reduce the chance of errors.
  4. Use a channel manager: if you list your properties on multiple booking platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO), consider using a channel manager to synchronize your calendar and rates across all platforms. This may help you prevent double bookings and ensure that your pricing is consistent.
  5. Develop a system for tracking expenses: keep track of expenses such as maintenance, repairs, and cleaning to ensure that you’re managing your properties profitably.

Overall, managing multiple vacation rentals requires careful planning, organization, and attention to detail. By using the right tools and processes, you can simplify the management process and ensure the success of your vacation rental business.

Excellent software and support 5/ 5stars

I purchased the Mountainview theme on January 11, 2019. Installation was well-documented. Since purchase, MotoPress has made updates, in response to user feedback, to both the theme and Hotel Booking plugin (that helps manage reservations). I have had questions regarding Airbnb iCal sync and plugin updates which were both answered promptly. Couldn’t ask for more. It’s been a great value for us. Thank you MotoPress team!

Great product, awesome support! 5/ 5stars

I recently purchased the mountainview template and have had several questions with regards to setup, use, etc. The support for the template has been great – don’t think I have had to wait more than a business day to get answers for my questions. Would highly recommend!
