You may try to use the style below to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in order to hide the capital letter in the slider:
.luviana-front-page-header .child-pages-list .child-page-first-letter { display:none; }

Thank you for your reply and for the provided information. You need to click on the arrow down next to Padding and Margin to expand the options and edit the values to reduce the space.
