I really feel cheated by your plugin, which has many drawbacks.
You’re forcing people to pay for add-ons, whereas other competitors have everything included, like WP Booking System or HBook, for less than $100 a year.
With you, you have to pay 500 dollars to get the set.1- Configuration by the admin: why display the email form for on hold if we do not have access to the option to send it? There is no point in including it. We only have access to the confirmation.
2- Discounts: no discounts are displayed, contrary to what is shown in the attached photo.
3- GDPR compliance: the plugin does not comply with European Union standards regarding RGPD. (politique cookies)
4- Modification of fields: it is impossible to modify the fields for the contact details form!
5- Pricing: you cannot modify prices directly on the calendar, which would however be more practical to immediately see the changes made.I will not hesitate to talk about it on the forum to find out the reaction of other users, and I am sure that many of them will support this request.
In any case, I will not renew this plugin, which is incomplete and difficult to modify.January 3, 2025 at 3:35 am #1710117Pavel LukášParticipantI have to agree that the main program is unusable without some add-ons. But if you just need a simple reservation system, this one will do the trick. Ideal for 5 accommodations, without setting different prices and number of people and without invoicing.
But if you have more accommodations, pricing, reminders, invoicing, it gets more expensive. Also, the authors do not respond much to customer requests, they just write down the requirements and that’s it.January 4, 2025 at 3:34 pm #1710598jennifer vautrainParticipantj’ai qu’un seul logement c’est inutisable et dommage ! sans fixer de prix ça n’existe pas ! les mois changes et les week-ends aussi.
January 5, 2025 at 3:30 am #1710698Pavel LukášParticipantFor those automatic emails I had to buy the Hotel Booking Notifier – Event-Driven Emails plugin, where the price of the add-on is like half the price of the main plugin. And the plugin doesn’t do much, it just sends an email. The plugin was supposed to be part of the main plugin, but it’s probably a financial strategy of the company, to make money on expensive add-ons.
January 6, 2025 at 9:46 am #1711227eric BrabantsParticipantI’ve been using Hotel Booking for 3 years, to rent out 3 gîtes via 1 website (created with Elementor) and the OTAs.
Over the years I’ve seen the plug-ins evolve (for the better) without becoming too complex, and I hope this will continue.
Support via this forum is rather slow, but has always given me answers.
It’s true that HB alone isn’t enough if you want to simplify your life by automating as much as possible, and you have to add plug-ins.
Personally, I’ve automated almost everything via 5 paid plug-ins.
The only economical solution is to use a membership.Every year I ask myself whether I should switch to a Channel Manager. And for the moment I’m sticking with HB, for certain features … and for the price.
For example, the ‘WP Booking System’ plug-in mentioned above is very nice, complete, economical, attractive, and I’ve found features in it that I hope will one day be available in HB. But it’s not suited to my needs: it lacks “Multiple Properties Bookable at One Go”
January 11, 2025 at 7:32 am #1713215eric BrabantsParticipantIn my case: 3 gîtes/5 seasons -> 15 prices. It’s not that complex, nor that time-consuming.
It takes much longer (by far) to set up on Booking/AirBnB/Vrbo: 1 day in total.
MotoPress membership (to get all the plug-ins and themes) costs me €270 inc VAT, which is still reasonable and much cheaper than all the channel managers.
Apart from the price (but you get extra services), one of the things that bothers me about Channel Managers is that they have your data.
I back up my site and my data regularly and in the event of a malfunction, I can put everything back in place in a few hours.

January 12, 2025 at 9:33 am #1713468eric BrabantsParticipantChanging fares is easy:
Create a promotion on OTAs (it’s better promoted than a rate change)
Using a coupon on Hotel Booking with a pop-up to highlight it
But you have to give away a lot of money to make it attractive to potential customers.for the ical link
1 – copy the link into hotelBooking: Booking -> synchronise calendars. The link is in the form ‘https://monsite.fr/?feed=mphb.ics&accommodation_id=xxx;
2 – Test the link either in a browser other than the usual one (it must download an .ics file) or in an ical-compatible calendar software.
