Place booking request instead of confirm / manual availability check

Hello,

as it turns out, some of the apartments that we want to offer on our Hotel Booking site can sometimes be unavailable, while we are not informed about the unavailable dates to synchronize with Hotel Booking.

So we would like to offer a way for the customer to request a booking for those apartments, after which we will check and within 1 or 2 days can confirm or have to decline the booking request.

It must be clear for the customer, so the booking form would have to look different, the button name “Request booking” instead of “Book now”, and the customer should not go to payment before we confirm.

Can we make it like this?

Thanks for contacting us. You may add a custom contact form to let the visitors to request a booking. Thus you will get email messages from such visitors and add the booking manually to your Hotel Booking site.
You may add URL of the page with a custom form to the page of the accommodation type to let them send a booking request for unavailable dates.

Hello, do you mean like any contact form with a 3rd party plugin, so that we then process the request like an email? But how would we redirect customers from the Hotel Booking property view to our contact form?

On the other hand, this is not a very helpful solution if we then have to enter the booking manually in the Hotel Booking backend with copy & paste. I was thinking more of an intermediate step between booking and payment, having a booking on hold until confirmation with one click from an admin or manager.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I meant adding a contact form with a 3d-party contact form plugin. You may add URL of the page with this contact form to the page of accommodation type, etc.
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to enable 2 confirmation modes at the same time like online payments and manual approval by admin.

Okay thanks. Maybe we will try this, but on the other hand, best solution actually is to synchronize the availability. -.-

What would be the easiest way to synchronize the availability of one accommodation with the person in charge of the accommodation, who does not have access to the WordPress backend (nor does he want to)?
Like allowing him to make changes in availability for this accommodation, and also inform him of bookings automatically.

There is no possibility to edit a booking without access to the dashboard of the site. You may try to create custom user roles with custom restrictions https://motopress.com/document/hotel-booking-roles-capabilities/
