Feature Proposal: Native Payment Logo Integration in MPHB

    Hello everyone,

I’d like to propose a native feature within MotoPress Hotel Booking (MPHB) that displays payment method logos directly on the checkout page—without requiring users to add custom HTML/CSS or rely on external solutions. Here are several top reasons why this feature is essential:

    1. User-Friendliness for All<br /> Many site owners aren’t proficient in HTML/CSS. Integrating this feature directly into the plugin core makes it accessible to everyone, eliminating the need for manual code modifications.
    2. Prevention of Update-Related Issues<br /> Custom modifications, especially those inserted into theme files or via snippets, are prone to breaking during updates. A native solution ensures that the logos remain consistently displayed and correctly aligned regardless of plugin or theme updates.
    3. Enhanced Customer Trust<br /> Displaying recognizable logos (Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, etc.) clearly builds a sense of security and professionalism for end users. This is a standard practice on many leading e-commerce and booking platforms.
    4. Streamlined Setup and Consistency<br /> Incorporating a dedicated settings panel for payment logos would allow users to easily select, order, and resize the icons. This would result in a consistent and efficient setup process that benefits all users.
    5. Reduced Support Overhead<br /> With this feature built into the core, users would no longer need to seek assistance for adding icons and custom CSS, allowing support teams to focus on other improvements and bug fixes.
    6. Market Competitiveness and Best Practices<br /> Integrating payment logos natively aligns MPHB with industry standards. For example, many WooCommerce sites (please notice: MPHB works fine without WooCommerce) automatically display credit card icons through built-in functionality, and leading platforms like Booking.com and Airbnb use clear payment method displays to enhance customer trust. Adopting this feature would not only modernize the checkout experience but also make MPHB more competitive in the marketplace.

For other users: the visibility of this thread might be low, as it tends to get lost in general support discussions rather than a dedicated section for feature improvements. To help bring more attention to this request, please leave a “+1” below. Thanks for your support!

🔔 UPDATE after a deep research: 95% of the Solution Already Exists — MPHB Just Needs to Deliver the Final 5%! 🔔

    Hi all,

Great news! A nearly complete solution already exists for the native integration of payment method logos—it’s just one small step away from being fully accessible to everyone using MotoPress Hotel Booking (MPHB).

    Suggested Action for MPHB Developers:
Please consider including (or making one-click accessible) the excellent and free plugin:

    Showcase Payment Options (icons)

    Or from /wp-admin/plugin-install.php search
    “Showcase Payment Options (icons)”
    (made by: KNEET)

Why This Plugin is the Perfect Fit (and Already Does 95% of the Job):
    Free, lightweight, and actively maintained

    Works via simple shortcode: [spopm_PM]

➜ Add it anywhere – checkout page, footer, widget, etc.

No coding required – user-friendly UI for choosing and customizing icons

Customize icon size, spacing, and order

Supports a wide range of payment methods (see full list below)

    Plugin Features Summary:
    # Clean settings panel – select the payment methods you accept

    # Display icons: Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Stripe, Klarna, etc.

    # Custom sizes & spacing – pixel-level control

    # Reorder icons easily

    # Insert anywhere with the shortcode [spopm_PM]

    # No bloat – it does one thing well: shows payment icons cleanly

    # Why This Matters for MPHB:
Makes MPHB more competitive with platforms like WooCommerce and Airbnb

Builds trust at checkout with recognizable, professional logos

Prevents CSS/HTML hacks or theme file edits

Saves support time by removing common visual customizations

Final thought: The community has spoken. Let’s not reinvent the wheel—just surface this existing tool, or integrate its core features directly into MPHB. The result? A smoother, more modern checkout experience that works for everyone.

If you support this, don’t forget to drop a +1 below 🙌

    Hi Alberto,
Thank you for your feedback and shared solution.

    Hi Davis,

I appreciate your acknowledgment, but your response doesn’t address the core issue. The requesting point is that the development team integrates the functionality of the “Showcase Payment Options (icons)” plugin directly into the MPHB core. This integration would enhance user experience by providing native support for payment method logos without relying on additional plugins.

Could you confirm whether this request will be forwarded to the development team for the next update?
A clear response would help understand the direction MPHB is taking regarding this “enhancement” (that is a must have, to book it’s actually one of the core point of MPHB).

    Thank you

I’ve added the request to our list of features, but it won’t be included in the next version as our developers are working on other tasks at the moment. We will update this topic once we have any news on this. Thank you.

Good to know, that’s a totally different reply from your last one, thanks.

PS: Is there anything public like a feature list or roadmap available?
Do you use any tools or platforms to manage or share it? Something like Trello, Notion, or Canny (where users can also upvote features)?
Would be great to take a look—or even pitch in with a few ideas!
    And would deeply help differentiate
    Forums specific user problems
    VS
    General MPHB problems/optimizations.
