Is there a way to add a start time and end time to the iCal calendar entries?

Hello,

Is there a way to add a start time and end time to the iCal calendar entries?

Under Accommodations>Settings>General we have set our Check-In time to 15:00 and Check-Out time to 11:00.

We need the calendar entries to begin at 3:00pm on the check-in day, and end at 11:00am on the check-out day.

Currently, the iCal entries are full day entries for the check-in day and check-out days, which creates conflicts with some of our systems such as the door lock system and OTA synched calendars.

How can we assign the check-in and check-out TIME to the iCal entries so a conflict is not reported when a party leaves and another enters on the same day?

Hello there,

Unfortunately, there is no such option at the moment, events included in the .ics files use the start and end date of the event, not its time.
We will keep your suggestion in mind though and in case there are more similar requests from other users, we might consider adding this option in future.

Would you be able to please let me know which file in the plugin controls the contents of the .ics file? We’d like to try to customize it ourselves to see if we can add the check-in and check-out times to the calendar entries.

Hello there,

You may try checking the date.php file under /wp-content/plugins/motopress-hotel-booking/includes/libraries/ZContent-icalendar/includes/ directory.
