Hi i have looked for a solution to my issue which is I have just made my site secure with https.
Now the slider will not show up saying in Firefox part of the site is insecure.
I have tried clearing cookies and cache to no avail.
Is there a solution?

December 11, 2019 at 10:11 pm #894542Trevor BairdParticipantIs there anybody there to reply.
Do I need to source a different slider elsewhere as I pay for updates and support but no support is forthcoming.
December 12, 2019 at 4:30 pm #894814SteveKeymasterHello Trevor,
As Adrian said in his answer the issue is the request
http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js?ver=1.7
is loaded in a insecure context.
It should be
httpS://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js?ver=1.7
This is not an issue of Slider. There are several other scripts that do not work on your website.
First of all try to update your theme if any update is available.
Check theme files, find where this script loads and replace http with https.
It should be in functions.php file I think.Let me know if it helps.

December 19, 2019 at 2:50 am #897131Trevor BairdParticipantWell that has been a lot of help – so I have moved on and I am now using a different slider………………
December 24, 2019 at 8:30 am #898713Trevor BairdParticipantAnd here I am back again, the slider is working again, I removed a Lightbox plug In to replace it with another one and it all started working.
Still disappointed with the support here!

Indeed, sometimes there can be incompatibilities with third-party plugins / themes, that can create issues. We recommend to keep MotoPress plugin updated to the latest version, since in case there is any issue, we can test it only with the latest plugin version.
Could you also specify what exactly Lightbox plugin was not compatible with Slider, for us to test the issue locally?
Thank you.Best Regard,
Mary EvansDecember 20, 2020 at 2:01 pm #1049423Trevor BairdParticipantApologies Nearly a year later and only seeing this now. I can’t remember what the Lightbox plugin was at that time.
However I am now back to the slider not working and a couple of other plugins on the home page.
I don’t know but in may be outdated PHP website host was supposed to update it today and the site is running slow as well.
December 21, 2020 at 8:53 am #1049711Andre FloresModeratorHello Trevor,
The Slider should be compatible with the latest PHP version, however, the issue could have occurred after WordPress update to v. 5.6. Try downgrading the WordPress version temporary and checking whether it resolves the issue.

Many thanks for getting back to me.
To cut a long story short – I deactivated all the plugins and then activated them.
Everything worked as it should have until activating the Custom Twitter Feed.
I reached out to the developer but in the meantime they updated the plugin in to Custom Twitter Feeds Pro Personal Version 1.12.1.
I activated that and all is now well, apart from the slider now not showing title and date as I use the posts for the slider.
I will hopefully work through it.
Again many thanks for getting back to me.
Cheers

December 25, 2020 at 7:25 am #1051456J. DavisKeymasterHi Trevor,
Thanks for sharing your experience. Could you specify the WordPress version installed on your site?
best regards,
J. DavisDecember 25, 2020 at 10:17 am #1051462Trevor BairdParticipantHi
The version of WordPress is 5.6
However as mentioned the slider is now not showing title and date as I use the posts for the slider.
It shows the style and not the macro text.
This is the original slider which used to work fine
If I create a new slider and insert text and style and use macro for the text content it will not show anything other than the background featured image.
December 25, 2020 at 11:35 am #1051482J. DavisKeymasterHi Trevor,
Thanks for your reply. At the moment the Slider plugin is not compatible with WordPress 5.6 and our developers are working to get this fixed as soon as possible. As a temporary solution, you may try downgrading WordPress. Do not forget to backup the site before down- or upgrade.
best regards,
