booking.com now only take feeds on xml. Has anyone found a way to link motorpress hotel booking to booking.com? is there a module to interface the feed?

    Hi Gordon,

BookingCom allows the hosts to import and export bookings in ical format with the requirements described in Eligibility criteria.
There are no limitations on the side of the Hotel Booking plugin. Each accommodation has a unique calendar and ical URL to export bookings from your website.

    best regards,

    Hi John
Thank you for the reply but this is what booking.com are now saying

    “Dear partner,

Regarding the sync calendar request, unfortunately the service is not available due to the hotel has use XML connectivity service.

Please be informed that the XML service will be better than Syn calendar due to the Syn tool is made automatically 3 times per day, but the XML service is real time.

In the meantime, kindly add the new email on Account>Contact>invoice add email address.

Once again we are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused. We thank you for your kind understanding and patience on the matter.

If you have any questions, we are here for you.

    Wen Nee C.
    Booking.com Partner Support Team”

Is there a way around the iCal verses XML issue?

    Hi Gordon,

The Hotel Booking plugin supports ical type of synchronization only. We collect feedback about channel manager type of synchronization in this topic so we will notify all subscribers if we have any news. Thank you for your thoughts.

    best regards,

    Hi John
As an experiment we created a new site on booking.com and the sync and ical screens were in the menu’s. This is the opposite to their statement above!!!
You may have other clients affected by their “policy”. We will have to keep working on them or just scrap the existing account and create a new one. All a PITA. Thanks for the help.

As an test i created a new site on bookings.com and the sync and iCal function were in the menus. Now need to find a way to get that function back on an the active site. Has anyone else managed to “reset” their bookings.com account?
Their support will not talk about iCal only XML but the documentation howto for iCal is still published.

    Hi Gordon,

Thanks for your comments. In order to have ical sync at your booking.com you need to disable the usage of Channel Manager and have up to 20 properties with 1 unit per each property.

    best regards,

Please, we really need a channel manager! Love the plugins, but iCal is just not enough compared to the competition of offered software…

Being able to set the price in the Hotel Booking plugin which then automatically adjusts to Airbnb, Booking.com etc. with corresponding % surplus of the roomprice would be really really really helpful!

    Thanks John
Removal of the channel manager reactivated the iCal choice at booking.com.
XML wouuld be a great option anyway.
