ParticipantDo you know if there is any built-in function or extension that allows the booking engine to automatically block an accommodation for n days after check-out date? This would be very useful to make sure a room is not occupied for at least 24 hours between two guests, allowing sanitizing for covid-19. Thanks 🙂

ParticipantHello Ryan,
For now, there is no such functionality to block X days after Check-out with the Hotel Booking plugin.
We can only recommend blocking the needed dates manually via the Bookings tab > Booking Rules > the Block accommodation rule.
Nevertheless, we have such a request on our feature requests list. We will add your upvote there, in order to notify you when the requested feature got released.Best Regards,

How many upvotes do you need before this is considered for implementation? As Ryan is pointing out this is essential as cleaning is important and takes more time now with regulations.August 4, 2020 at 6:50 am #987481Andre Flores
ModeratorHello there,
So far the feature is quiet popular and currently the first in the list of requested features, so it should be implemented soon. Once it is, we will immediately let you know 🙂

ParticipantAny ETA on this? It’s really troublesome to have to manage this manually right now.
Thanks.

ModeratorHello, David!
The feature is already in our developers’ to-do list, I believe we are close to starting to implement this feature in the plugin. Once there are further updates, we will immediately let you know.
Thank you for your patience.Regards,

ParticipantStarting in march, 6 months have passed since the pandemic set ground in Europe. Half a year of regulations that had a great impact, specifically on people that are in the ‘hotel’ business as they need to create a save environment for there guests.
I can not believe that it takes Motopress this long to add an option to automatically block an accommodation for <xx> hours, so the owner can properly clean the accommodation according to Covid-19 regulations. It should have been number 1 priority.
Instead we get 10 pages of blog entry’s on WordPress Mega Menu plugins or tutorials on how to create pricing tables in WP.September 30, 2020 at 1:50 pm #1011224David Birnbaum
ParticipantThis is becoming increasingly problematic as travel picks up. Is there any ETA for implementing a one-day block pre and post a reservation? This should be getting addressed with all urgency by your technical team.

ModeratorHello there!
Thank you all for your feedback, it is indeed much appreciated. I am following your concerns regarding this feature importance. Currently our developers are working on another (the most popular) feature request – generating invoices, so it is already in progress. As for the booking window feature, I believe it is the next one for our developers to work on, it is already in their to-do list, so they should start working on it shortly.
Thank you for your comprehension.Regards,
