hi,
I am testing the manual payments. If I add a payment to credit a value, I can only can add a positive amount (seems logical because every payment is bigger than 0) and I use the “terugbetaald / credited) status to finish the payment. In the reservation the payment status is updated but the credited amount is not deducted from the total payments (and also not added), just shown….this makes the due payment status not correct.
Only if you change an existing payment to status “credited” it works well but then the transaction ID is not correct, because you have 2 transactions with manual payments…..

You provided feedback that my credit payment issue is not a bug.
What I understand from you is that your design is that in case of a failed payment, you can describe the reason of the failed payment. (refunded / credited)
What I need is the possibility to register a real pay back to the customer. (so not solving a failed one)
You proposal is to do this changing the value of a payment done. This in deed will solve the issue but from auditability point of view is not desired. I hope you can add a feature request to the development to make a real credit payment possible.

From andre;
Please note that there is no possibility to alter the total booking price by changing it manually in the booking itself. You may reduce the price with the help of coupon codes only, so you will need to create a coupon of $75 and add it to the booking – the price will go down from $186 to $111 then.As for the payment with the Refunded (Credited) status, applying this status to the payment does not affect the total price paid for the booking at all, it only describes the reason of the Failed payment.
In your case, if you would like to apply changes to the original payment, you should edit the initial payment itself by reducing it from $186 to $111 or changing the initial payment ($186) status to Refunded and adding a new payment with less price ($111)

Thank you for sharing my reply in this topic, it is much appreciated.
I have also taken your suggestion into consideration, indeed handling refunds would be a nice addition to the plugin. At the moment there is no such possibility in the plugin and refunds are handled manually via payment gateways. We will keep your request in mind and in case there are more similar requests from other users, we might consider implementing it in one of the plugin future updates.Regards,
