Is it possible to take deposits with the “By admin manually” option

We have a site where we want to manually approve guests before we take a deposit from them.

But the documentation for enabling the deposit suggests we need to change to confirmation upon payment:

Is it possible to do manual approvals and then when we manually approve send them the link for the payment of the deposit instead of the full amount?

Hello Tommy,

Unfortunately, there is currently no such option in the Payment Request plugin. We do have such a feature request and are currently collecting feedback from our users. In case there are more requests regarding this matter, we might consider implementing such an option in one of the plugin future updates.

I’m having exactly the same dilemma. Many booking reservations come in without a deposit payment. We have to call them anyway and after approval, we need to charge the deposit only but can’t. The only option is for the full amount. If you could add such a feature it would save us a lot of work.

Hello.

I did a modification if anyone is interested.

It use the payment request plugin and use thoses rules (its hard coded).

deposit if today is more than deposit limit (in parameters) and the total need to be paid.
full amount if today is less than deposit limit and the total need to be paid.

rest to pay if the total is not equal to rest to pay.

ex:

bill of 400$ for 30th april 2023.
deposit type is percent and deposit value is 10 (percent) and deposito limit day is 10.

we display the link the 1st april and nothing as yet to be paid:
link ask for 20$ (10%)

we display the link the 23th april and nothing as yet to be paid:
link ask for 400$ (full because we’re less than 10 day limit set).

we display the link the 15th april and deposit is already paid:
link ask for 380$ (rest to pay).

If anyone is interesseted I can put the modification to make (4 modifications in one file).
