Currency switcher does not switch currency

Not sure what I am missing but I have two currencies on my staging site. The base currency IDR (Indonesian Rupiahs) and USD. I have set an exchange rate for the USD (1 IDR = 0,000063 USD). When I switch to USD on the site, the page reloads but showing the IDR price… I’ve tried several settings of the few that exist but I can’t get it to show prices in USD.

Ok, I am following up myself here. The odd thing is that when I switch currency via the widget on the booking confirmation page https://staging.umadewisri.com/booking-confirmation, currency switching works as expected. Only when I try to change from the menu bar it does not…

And just like this, it turns out that the issue was my theme header. Not sure what caused it but I created a new header from scratch and now the currency switcher works as expected.

Hopefully this serves someone here in the future when trouble shooting.
