Hello,
Is there a way to add an additional booking field on top of the customer’s name, email and phone – either via the backend interface or via code is fine.

There is no way to do what you’re asking for at the moment, unfortunately.
The good news is that we have already started working on that feature, and it will be available in one of our upcoming releases. I’m going to make sure that we reach out to you as soon as this feature goes live.
