Add a search widget to the header

The title explains it already, I would like to add a search widget to the header.
How do I go about that? Simply adding the widget to a specified area in the widget area doesn’t seem to do the job. Nothing is displayed.

Hi Jen,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a search widget to the header widget area, but you may add it to your primary or top menu. To do this you will need to use a third-party plugin like Add Search To Menu, for example.
