ical link problem with booking

Hello, I copied the link to put on booking for synchronization and it does not know the link at all. It says this ical url is not valid. please try again. I see the plugin link is not an ical link at all since it is marked ics. and not ical like other platforms. Please correct it as quickly as possible. For the others, how did you do it? Maybe I have the same problem. When pasting the link of one of my ical calendars, it redirects to my homepage. It’s not downloading the calendar , as supposed. In the past it worked fine, but it’s not syncing anymore with Airbnb. The risk of double bookings is high now. Does anyone knows the trick to fix this? No redirections exist by the way.

oui je peux enregistrer le fichier avec l’extension ICS. Sur la plateform airbnb ça fonctionne mais pas sur booking. Sur booking dis que cette url ICAL n’est pas valide. veuillez réessayer.

le lien ics fonctionne car j’ai eu un conflit avec un plugin. Vous avez essayer de tout désactivé pour voir? en tout cas ça ne marche toujours pas avec booking. Ca marche seulement sur airbnb.

Hi, Here are possible reasons why the ical link may not be accepted by the third-party platform:

– Coming Soon/Maintenance mode on your site can make the iCal link not valid
– MIME-type – you need to contact your hosting provider and make sure that the ‘text/calendar‘ MIME-type is enabled on the server.
– empty space before/after the URL – make sure you paste the ical link to the external platform without empty spaces.
– empty ICS file – some of the OTAs like booking.com require the file to include at least 1 reservation. You can try adding 1 test booking and then add the ical link to the booking.com again.

Bonjour de mon coté tout fonctionne sauf sur booking pour le lien ical ! j’ai eu un message de booking en disant qu’ils ne prennent pas en charge le lien car ce n’est pas un format ICAL.
Pourtant j’ai une reservation du site perso mais rien à faire !

Thanks for your reply. It is a standard reply booking.com, however, the link of the same structure from our demo site is accepted by booking.com successfully https://hbdemo.getmotopress.com. Bonjour oui j’ai parlé avec eugene, mais malheureusement ça ne fonctionne toujours pas il pensait que c’est à cause le titre 3 pièces et donc j’ai supprimé mais booking me dis que le lien n’est pas ical. J’ai même essayé avec un nouveau logement et ça ne fonctionne pas non plus.

Veuillez noter que le lien ical que vous renseignez nest pas un lien ical cest la raison pour laquelle la synchronisation de fonctionne pas. Pour reconnaître un lien ical c`est simple le lien que exporté il doit mentionner ical exemple:

http://www.ical.booking.com/v1/export
http://www.airbnb.com/calendar/ical/12345678

voila donc le lien ne prends plus du tout dans leur systeme merci de bien vouloir rectifier tout ça pour que je puisse utiliser.
Il faut que le nom soit marquer ical et non ics.

Thanks for your reply. You may prove that the link is valid by using iCal validator https://icalendar.org/validator.html. Please paste your ical URL to the field URL. When you get a result you will find a direct URL that you can copy and send to booking.com support.
As another test, you can register demo site at https://hbdemo.getmotopress.com, create a test reservation, copy the iCal URL of the booked accommodation, and try to paste it to your calendar at booking.com. The link from the demo site has the same structure and is accepted by booking.com
Finally, if booking.com requires .ics at the end of the ical URL you can add&export.ics part to your ical URL:
https://www.your-site.com/?feed=mphb.ics&accommodation_id=1717&export.ics
You may also ask them if they have any other requirements for the third-party iCal links to accept them successfully.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue with booking.com. The only difference between my link and the demo site’s (https://hbdemo.getmotopress.com/tvzo8cds1jqrbem/?feed=mphb.ics&accommodation_id=41) is the folder name before the “?”, and yet it works on booking.com.
