Variable pricing overridden?

When I enter variable pricing in the accommodations > rates the original price still shows on the booking form regardless of how many people that are reserving. Does the original/non-variable price have to be lower than the variables?

Thanks for your question however I’m not sure I understand the part where the price show the base price instead of variable pricing. Could you clarify this more detailed or provide example – site or screenshot?
