Hello, I just bought and downloaded Booklium and first thing I notice, I am getting not 2 but 3 files:
    booklium-1.2.1.zip
    booklium-child-theme.zip
    booklium-theme-documentation.pdf

Why is there is child theme, what is its purpose? I can see no difference. Also it is not mentioned in the documentation anywhere.

    Hi Emanuel,

The child theme is added for the convenience of those users who want to override the default layouts or functionality of the parent theme or third-party plugins. Thus the child theme is used to override the files of the theme or even override files and functions of the third-party plugins and keep the changes even after theme or plugin update.

    best regards,

Hi Jeannette, yes, sure you need to activate the child theme to apply your customizations. Note: you also need to keep the parent theme installed too.
