How to create a child theme of "artwork"

Hi,

I’ve created a child theme of artwork to easily add new styles and features.
But if I activate the child, the menu item “works” disappears in wordpress and I can no longer see the articles under “works”. Is there a possibility to create a child theme of “artwork”?
