calender and timetable in one table

Hi
maybe this is a misconeception about what the plugin is supposed to do …
I thought I could use it as a combined timetable and calender for a sportsclub website.
The idea is to show both the regular training sessions (works fine, set up as column type “day”) in a weekly view (columns Monday – Sunday) and the occasional events (e.g. a specific competition) that occur on specific/irregular dates and times in the course of a year. For example if there is a competition on feb 8 wednesday evening 8-9pm, this event would show up only on that day in the timetable during the week feb 6 till 12. I tried to set up a column type “date” for the competitions, but could’t assign dates to individual events of that type. Is it possible at all to display a weekly calender with the current dates?

Yes, you can define Column Type as exact date http://prntscr.com/e58f22 editing/creating a Column.
