Aquentro child theme

I paid for and rec’d two Aquentro Themes:
Aquentro-1.2.2.zip AND Aquentro-child

What is the difference? Do they work together?

Thank you for the question.
If you would need to override your theme files, we`d recommend to do it in the child theme since in this way your changed files will be update-proof.

I do not understand, do I install them both, or just the child theme? Is there a walkthrough on how I should do it pls ?

The child theme is not necessary to use, however, if you are going to perform any changes to theme files, it is strongly recommended to use the child theme in order to perform all the changes by overriding them in the child theme. This is a standard practice for WordPress themes, you may learn more about child themes in this thread.
